It's the Coach's Fault

It's more than just basketball

"Sit-Rep” No.53

There’s awful lot going on. Every aspect of life seems to merging at the same time and it’s kinda overwhelming sometimes.

It’s also amazing how sometimes everything seems to happen at the same time… sometimes disrupting a situation, and sometimes balancing a situation out.

Let me try and give a short synopsis.

I’ve been working very hard, sometimes only three hours of sleep, trying to convert the book into a screenplay. There are some problems.

First there’s the amount of new stuff that I needed to learn Scripting, Industry Standard Formatting, Pitch Queries, Taglines, Character Arc and much more. There are costs involved!

Making contact with individuals, screenwriters, producers directors and others is not easy. There are costs involved!

The time element … It could take many, many months to get anywhere close to production of the series.

That time element is intertwined with my health time element.

If you saw the most recent Sit-Rep, you know that I’m actually feeling pretty good, at least I thought I was.

Yesterday, someone from the Hospice called. She said that they have been talking to the doctors at the VA over the last couple of days. Then she said “Dr. Y…” has recommended that we keep you in Hospice.

I wasn’t really surprised but, in my present state, I wasn’t really expecting it. The usually call once a week and when I see the Caller I.D. I expect …. “Just calling to check and see if you need anything”

So, in the vernacular of my college days … “That call was a Bummer!”😔

Then it happened… the perfect counterbalance to all of the negative vibes that were creeping in.

I was still up, working on the Book Stuff when I got an eMail at (01:44).

It was Book Review. I was surprised, proud, grateful … all rolled into one. It seems that I had made a difference … at least to one person. It felt really, really good.

I’ll post it as soon as I respond to the individual who wrote it.

Maybe it will encourage others to buy the book.

It did let me know that I need to create a “Book Review” Page on my website (www.ritzbball.net)

Now … to tie all of this together… The Screenwriting, The Timeline, The Financial Costs, Getting into the Film Industry … They present a serious problem.

Then into my internet feed pops a video about YouTube Channels and what they can be used for. I watched it and … to make a long story, short.

As of today I will be telling the stories that would have been episodes in the Series on my new YouTube Channel … ( @rayritzingram )

The Series will be named “Overtime” They will be posted in a section called “Overtime” .. what else?🤦🏽‍♂️

There will be other stuff on the channel as well so check it out…

An aerial view of a basketball court with two shirtless individuals playing basketball. A basketball is in motion, with one player attempting a shot. Another person, sitting on stone steps nearby, appears to be spectating or taking a break. Various personal items, including a bag and shoes, are placed on the steps.

A thought-provoking read that challenges your perspective on life and decisions.

A person is standing with a confident pose, dressed in a blue and white sports uniform. They are holding a basketball under their right arm while their left foot is resting on another basketball. There are three additional basketballs placed around on the ground. The background is smoky, giving a dramatic effect, with light shining through the smoke.
